 SEAPCO Welcomes New Director!

 Sue Carrescia has been hired as SEAPCO’s director of special education; she begins work on July 1, 2010. Sue Carrescia comes to us from Niles Township District 219 in Skokie, Illinois, with 20 years of experience in the field of special education.  She attended Bradley University receiving her Bachelors and Masters degrees in special education, taking additional courses in educational administration from Bradley University, Illinois State University and Northern Illinois University.  She holds her superintendent certificate, LBSI and Type 75 certificates.  She is also currently the president of the Illinois Alliance for Administrators of Special Education, a statewide organization for special education administrators with a membership of 1100 persons. 

Sue and her husband, Bob, have 5 children between them, four live in Illinois and one in Florida.  In her spare time she likes to read, exercise and work in the garden.  She loves traveling out west with her husband, camping and hiking, while Bob fly fishes.
